Truly a great wine. Tasted blind with some Burgundian friends, the wine came out to be a real charmer.

It's a pleasant wine on its own. But it's a great wine when paired with a seafood boil. Cheers!

Cali masquerading as a white burg. After the Pinson, normal service has been resumed.

Textbook Kistler. Lychees and nutmeg on the nose. Quite heavy and dense on the palate. Almonds, oak and Meyer lemon are present, with soft acidity. Drinking perfectly now, although wifey detects an old box!

Always a pleasure. More subtle and balanced than Rombauer but still quite oaky. $69.95.

I'm not in the mood to apologize. Because sometimes the secret you don't want to get out is that big Chards are the bees knees, the slap on the back you need to get to get that skip back in your step, the rock ballad you blast at full volume (windows up, natch)...And really, what's not to like in this crushed cashew-laid-over -candied-lemon-peel pleaser, this fleshy white peach-riddled hothouse flower, this pineapple custard cutie?? But in all seriousness, there is straight-up respectable structure here, pert-enough acidity to be fresh-ish, and a lingering finish with just enough soupçon of minerality to be decent. In short, what's not to like? ***Don't be haters, yo***

Medium golden yellow. Lush nose with brioche, warm green apples, lemon curd, little straw and honeysuckle. Medium acidity (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. A little stoney on the palate with citrus rind and touch of yeast. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2025.
