Frédéric Magnien Vieille Vigne Les Charmes Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

‘Charmes’ faces east and sits at the same altitude and not far from premier cru ‘Amoureuses.’ Soils here are thin, with the “mother rock” just a few inches from the surface. Hand-harvested. Partially destemmed; fermented in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks on indigenous yeasts. Aged 40% in clay jars, 43% in older French oak barrels and 17% in terracotta amphorae. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
