‘Croix Violette’ is a small plot surrounded by a stone wall, neighboring an active cloister (the Violet Cross) in the village of Brochon. Vines on average 50 years old. True to its name, fruit here is purple, regal, refined; very juicy and spiced. Hand-harvested. Partially destemmed; fermented on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Aged in older French oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
