Surprised by the freshness this has retained, plenty of zip and juicy cherry fruit remain. Undergrowth, blood orange, earl grey tea starting to emerge. Charmingly graceful tannin, very quaffable. Somewhat straightforward, linear, just fun though.

It’s Gamay season y’all! To put it best, simply and true, this wine is lovely. My experience with Beaujolais with age is somewhat limited as I find myself crushing most of it young before it ever has a chance. A major hole in my cellar. My go-to post-shift drink, Gamay just always finds a way to deliver and Morgon has been my first love within the appellation. Tannins are soft and refined, fruit is pure yet still dark and curious on the palette. This is the closet I think I can come to drinking a glass of fallen leaves and the flavors of autumn. Enjoyed with a roasted Delicata squash as a mid-afternoon pause to enjoy the season in front of me.

Black cherry juice. Delightful. Surprisingly youthful.

Fresh on the palate, but rather one-dimensional at fourteen years of age. Drink up.
