From the winery: HMR is the abbreviated name of Hoffman Mountain Ranch, the original vineyard planted by Dr. Stanley Hoffman. This historic property dating from the early 1960s is devoted exclusively to Burgundian grape varieties, rarely found in Paso Robles. Visually showing a clear straw appearance, this wine emanates varietal purity and a sense of place; pronounced aromatics launch straight into crushed sea shells, white flowers, lemon verbena, and clementine zest. Cantaloupe melon speaks to the new world climate, while seafoam and chalk indicate Chardonnay grown in limestone soils.
