Yohan Lardy is a 5th generation wine maker in the Beaujolais who struck out in 2012 to establish his own estate. The property is located in the Cru of Moulin-a-Vent covering approximately 7 HA with small holdings in Chenas and Fleurie. Yohan has farmed the property organically since its inception, shunning herbicide in favor of a plow and relying on natural biodiversity rather than chemical insecticides. His wines always showcase a unique combination of joviality and depth, none more so than the Moulin-andaacute;-Vent Vieilles Vignes de 1903. This remarkable wine is hewn from a single plot of head trained vines planted in the year 1903 within the Michelons vineyard. The 2018 vintage proffers a mandeacute;lange of ripe cherry and berry fruit, violet floral tones, and rich, dark earth.andnbsp; Succulent on the palate with fine tannins and bright acidity, it will need a few years in the cellar before it starts to really show its hand.
