This is a perfect introduction to the rare Vespaiolo variety. The grape is often used to make passito style dessert wines because of its intense aromatic expression. This version from Contra Soarda manages to capture much of the lovely aromas but it is bracingly dry and especially refreshing. There is a savory quality that calls to mind top Gruner Veltliner and a salty minerality that you find in great Chablis. A versatile wine that is as comfortable on the patio as it is on the table.

Meyer lemon drenched in rich and creamy lemon curd.. Dried herbs, yeast and salinity on the palate too. Moderate minus acid, moderate body. Quite some residual sugar...

Citrus, white peach and apricot with some saline notes and with medium high acidity. Veneto's version of a German Kabinett?
