Ulysse Collin Les Pierrières Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 2013

$105

Collin has quickly found his way to the top of the list of serious small grower/producers. Like so many young producers in Champagne these days, he draws much inspiration from his time working with Anselme Selosse. His wines are made with the same level of patience as his mentorandnbsp;and share a similarly vinous character and intensity. He is based in Congy, which sits off the beaten path near the Cote des Blancs, but this wine comes from the south/southeast facing vineyard of Pierrieres in neighboring Vert-Toulon. This is a boisterous, expressive BdB that unfolds best with some nice air time in a larger Burgundy glass.andnbsp; andnbsp;

Disgorged 2/15/17. Bright, steely, chalky minerality, citrus. Great length. #ulyseecollin
