Cristiana Tiberio is currently at the helm of this Abruzzo estate after impressive stints at Selosse, Nicolas Joly and Egon Muller among others.andnbsp; Famously, the estate is planted to an old clonal selection of Trebbiano Abruzzese rather than the far more common, and equally bland, Trebbiano Toscano. Trebbiano Abruzzese is the variety behind the legendary whites of the zone, found in the vineyards of Emidio Pepe and Francesco Valentini (as well as the recently discovered Amorotti).andnbsp; Tiberio's Trebbiano is medium bodied with ripe orchard fruit and crisp focus and is a lovely bottle of wine for the dinner table.

The 2019 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is so easy to like, with a bouquet of raw almond and crushed stone with honeyed apples and hints of fresh mint. This soothes the palate with soft textures and ripe orchard fruits, as a mix of salty minerals and brisk acids add tension toward the close.
