Textura is a new Domaine centered in Portugals Dandatilde;o region that was founded in 2018. Dedicated to organic farming (still in conversion) and low intervention wine making, they have acquired 22 hectares of vines planted to indigenous varieties in 7 different plots. Notably they haveandnbsp;contracted with famed Douro wine maker Luis Seabra to oversee the production and his experience has shown through beautifully.andnbsp; Pretexto is a blend primarily composed of Encruzado and Bical planted in high altitude sites with granitic soil. Aged in a mix of steel, cement, and French oak the wine maintains a beautiful sense of freshness and mineral cut.andnbsp; Medium bodied with tart orchard fruit and subtle white florals, the 2020 Pretexto is a head-turning Portuguese white that is perfect for everything from seafood, to rabbit or roast chicken.
