The 2020 Uno (Sangiovese) is elegant, delicate and nuanced. Crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, spice, mint and orange peel are all beautifully delineated in this understated, classy Sangiovese. The 2020 is exquisite. It shows the smaller-scaled size of the year vis-à-vis the 2021. Fine-grained tannins round things out in style. This is a lovely choice for drinking now and over the near to medium term. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2024)

The 2020 Uno, the estate's top bottling is another super-distinctive wine in this range from Tenuta di Carleone. Readers will want to cellar the 2020 for at least a year, as it is rather tightly wound at this stage. Vibrant acids cut through a core of Sangiovese fruit in this nervy, taut wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2023)
