1 hour decant(lots of chunky sediment). A daunting inky ruby red color. On the nose: Subdued, but beautiful notes of black cherry, toasted caramel, spice, cedar, and pine. Taste: smooth, rich, concentrated! medium plus body wine with black cherry, smoke, pencil lead, minerals, chocolate espresso, pepper, and a dry bitter metallic long finish.....Conflicted (hate to be conflicted starting the weekend) on the finish...probably should have decanted longer...got a few more bottles to see if it changes.
