11 years in and things have developed beautifully. Still that Savigny light touch but with more gravitas. Beautiful fruit. Ditto acidity.

Fully mature, perhaps even fading a little. Warm cherries, baking spices, a little smoke, and rust on the nose. More of the same on the palate, plus some pleasant tertiary florals and forest notes. Tannins fully resolved, good balance, and reasonable length. A little grippy on the finish - might be residual wood influence, but no obvious oakiness. Nice wine, but I wonder if it might have been in better shape a few years ago. Note that the cork showed evidence of a little leakage, so fully intact bottles might drink younger.

Elegant in its class, with a long finish.
