Gorgeous immediately on opening. I’ve only had a couple of Schraders over the years before recently getting an allocation. But this has the same hallmarks of the 2008 and 2010 I’ve had. Remarkable.

Strong out of the gate. Very textured and supple. Would have guessed there is a blend with Merlot going on for how supple it is. Lots of cassis and also length. It narrowed after a few hours though but remained good but did retreat from great.

Another amazing dinner and “Legendary” wine pairing at Addison. Another amazing selection. Perhaps a bit too young.

Maybe an off bottle. Very disappointing. The nose was off. Everything was off.

Twas the night of Thanksgiving and the kids are asleep so Dad and Mom bust out some Schrader. This 2014 CCS has a beautiful nose of honey suckle and blueberry cobbler. Body is velvety smooth (I see no reason to age this) but showcases gorgeous fruit. Vanilla, blueberry, and cedar on the palate. Silly smooth texture is what makes this wine so special
