Complex, juicy, savory Barbera from renowned Barbera specialists of the Monferrato hills! This wine comes from Casa Scarpaand#39;s estate vineyard, a 50 hectare plot that is intentionally only half planted to vine (the other half is forest) to maintain biodiversity. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tank with several additional years of aging in bottle before release. The wine shows the bright cranberry fruit typical of Barbera dand#39;Asti with an additional layer of earthiness and secondary notes that come from additional age in the bottle. Dynamite at the table with any number of Italian specialties ranging from antipasti to pasta and red sauce.andnbsp;

Herby meat, flowers, raspberry, some oak notes. High acid. Medplus tannins. Med body. Some Brett-like notes in there too.
