This is a crowd-pleasing, classically constructed Champagne that hits all the right notes, with a little more lacy/racy character than their normal cuvandeacute;e. The especially strong vintage of and#39;08 gave this an extra gear, and the lengthy bottle age has been very kind to this wine. Saint-Chamant wines are known for their extreme age-worthiness and supreme balance, and this bottle is certainly no exception. It is shocking that a vintage Champagne of this quality can still be purchased for $60!
