Rivella recently found a new importer in the NY market and we're pleased to be able to offer his Dolcetto this year for the first time. Likeandnbsp;Vajra's Freisa Kyeandnbsp;and Cavallotto's Grignolino 'Grign,' this is an example of an exciting insider gem where 'lesser' varieties flourish inside top vineyards. In this case, Teobaldo works a half hectare of south facing Dolcetto vines at the top of Montestefano. The soils here are particularly rocky and the wine maintains nice brightness and minerality even in a warm vintage like '15. This is textbook Dolcetto - juicy, warm and friendly with a bit of spice and just the right amount of grip.
