The Puro Rofe project was spearheaded by winemaker Rayco Fernandez who then assembled a like-minded team of grape growers to showcase the unique terroir of Lanzarote. This cuvee is from 100 year old organically farmed vines on black volcanic sand,andnbsp;just a few short kmandnbsp;from the Atlantic Ocean. Whole clusters areandnbsp;crushed by foot in stone lagars with a short maceration and then fermented/aged in French oak barrels. Onlyandnbsp;approx. 700 bottles made!
