Rossese, known as Tibouren across the border in France, has been our most recent crush in unusual Italian varieties. The grape itself wears many hats, but in this case it shows a brightness, spice and elegance that make it nearly irresistible. You'd be hard pressed to find a more perfect summer weight red and you can pair this with anything from fish to chicken to just about anything on the summer grill. Give it a slight chill and make sure to have a second bottle on hand.
