Didierandnbsp;Gimonnetandnbsp;is the president of the Special Club, andandnbsp;overseesandnbsp;28 hectares of his familyand#39;s vines, many in their home village ofandnbsp;Cuis, where the family settled in 1935. The hallmark of the house is blending; Didier will rarely produce a andquot;monocruandquot; wine in the style ofandnbsp;Chartogne-Taillet; he finds that blending andndash; as well as always including a pinch of juice from his village ofandnbsp;Cuisandnbsp;andndash; brings more complexity and harmonious balance to a wine. All parcels are vinifiedandnbsp;separately, and there is no use of oak in the cellar.andnbsp; Gimonnetand#39;sandnbsp;twoandnbsp;Tandecirc;te-de-cuvandeacute;esandnbsp;are his Special Club wines and the Fleuron. Fleuron is predominantlyandnbsp;Chouillyandnbsp;andandnbsp;Cramantandnbsp;Chardonnay, with the remainder fromandnbsp;Cuis, Oger andandnbsp;Vertus. This bottling was disgorged in 2015, and is just starting to come into its own, as 2008 was a vintage of both concentration and incredible brightness. Expect more on the baking spice and brioche spectrum, complemented by soft citrus tones.andnbsp;
