2017 has been one of our favorite red Burgundy vintages in recent memory with wines across the board showing great charm, early appeal, and a sneaky complexity. Domaine Jouan is always one of the last producers to release their wines, marking the conclusion to a stellar vintage that weand#39;re excited to finally have available. When we received our allocation last week, the first thing we did was pop open the Coteaux Bourguignonsandnbsp;which was so delicious that we had to put it in front of you today. This wine is made from the domaine's youngest Pinot Noir vines which are more than 40 years old and has a real sense of place and purity:andnbsp;warm red fruit, dried herbs, silky tannins, saline acidity, with a nice earthy cut to it. If you have been looking for inexpensive, high quality Burgundy that you could drink on a weeknight, look no further.
