Whole cluster madness. Lean with Pepper and green vegetal / herbal notes. Magenta color. Blind I would have gone Chinon.

Was expecting something heavy with high alcohol but this was totally different. Layers of flavors, fresh acidity but forgiving and easy to pair with food. All juicy goodness!

The famed wine that @Antonio Galloni scored 100 points last year. Pax invented this style - whole cluster and zero oak California Syrah nodding Saint Joseph. So concentrated you’ll stain your hands removing the cork. But not overextracted. Picked early with salty metallic wild sour blackberries, rosemary, and lavender. Youthful but still very raw. Complex today but will benefit from a few years to soften the sour green. Bought two. One for today, one for tomorrow.

Cherries, olive tapenade, stone, plums, good acidity. Some herbs on the nose but less on the palate. Really tasting great right now.

Juicy and easy drinking. Tasty although on the simple side.

Crushed blueberry and blackberry , violets, and crazy amounts of super peppery beef jerky. All turned up to 11. Bombastic fruit and a savory side. What’s not to love. This is the vinous 100 pointer.

Tart raspberry jolly rancher with a backdrop of garrigue. Thin with light tannins and extreme acid. Significant fallout in the bottle for the relative youth. I want to say the best times are behind it. Drink up.
