Under the Origin label, he looks to eschew the idea of creating a wine of andquot;polish,andquot; or a manipulated wine, instead preferring to create unique wines of place andndash; and the Meredith Mitchell vineyard is one of the most unique places in Oregon. You may recognize the vineyard from old Ken Wright bottlings.andnbsp;Its character tends towards blue fruits, like blueberry or acai, in addition to wild cherry, cola and mushroom tones. This is not a thin wine, with sumptuous texture balanced by bright, cool-climate acidity. Imminently drinkable now but should amply reward some mid-termandnbsp;cellaring.andnbsp;Only 75 cases made in 2014!
