My Labor Day wine. Sad to see summer come to an end but alway looking forward to fall, which this wine is perfect for.

Raffault at 10 years. Heaven. Beautiful autumn wine.

9 years seems to be just the right amount of time for a Chinon to hit its stride. The greenness has eased up and the savory fruit came out, along with black olive, raspberry and graphite.

A bit tight but opened up after a while. Still needs lots of time. Built for the long haul

In a very savory place. Green pepper, black pepper, ash and stones. Not a whole lot of fruit at the moment except maybe a touch of underripe raspberry.

Love this #Chinon. Ready to drink now! Light color and beginning to brick. Watery hue. The nose is very green pepper upon opening and blows off to a stemmy, wet leaf. Lots of pink rose aromas and potpourri. Flavor has lots of Ranier cherry. Fine and clean. Watery consistency. The acid is diminishing and tannins are falling off. The finish leaves a sense of roses. Opened 1/15/16

Very expressive after about one hour open. Classic Chinon aromas with stuffing on the palate. Very pure, some perfectly ripe bing cherry and pleasant earth notes. (Need roast chicken now!)

Great and affordable! Flavors are fresh fruit masked with musk, olive, and touches of peppercorn spice. Aroma is stinky, and just what I love in Chinon.

Drinking well. Integrated tannic structure and softened acid. Nuanced depth of blue fruit and herbaceous vegetation. All that beautiful raffault typicity.
