Honest and true to the terroir of the village of Radda, Monteraponiand#39;s wines are not simply some of the best wines in Italy. They're some of the best in the world.andnbsp;The Chianti Classico is a wine that we return to again and again. It's a versatile bottling, marked by freshness and precision, that would probably work for anything prepared at home, from a simple bowl of pasta to a grilled steak.andnbsp;The 2018 vintage is certainly no exception.andnbsp;

Nice Chianti but I get a bit of a medicinal green note on the finish which keeps this from being better. Still, the palate to that point is very nice and there is some good freshness here.

Not my style but very cool, unique, earthy wine. Very lean chianti as it is 95% sangiovese - light to medium body. Definitely old world, rustic, fresh and metallic

Lean is exactly the right word. Not very heavy. Definitely needs to sit

Medium garnet color, typical Italian red bouquet. Been open 45 mins and while a little better, still quite tannic from the start with an acidic/alcoholic bite from start to finish. Having trouble identifying the fruits- not happy with this wine. PS- after sitting in the glass for a long time it finally softened and I increase my rating to 8.6 because while now not bad, I would not buy this again.

Nice, fresh Chianti Classico. Good sour cherry. Never veers into the plum/balsamic spectrum
