As always, the Lapierre Morgon is fermented whole cluster with native yeasts and aged on the lees for around 9 months in used Burgundy barrels. Flavors of tart raspberry and ripe red plums are at the core of the nose with a touch of violet and subtle earthy tones that lend this bright wine some intensity. The wine is lifted by crisp acidity that allows a fairly dense Morgon dance across the palate finishing with crunchy minerality that is refreshing rather than tannic. We're certain that strong-willed and patient collectors will be very well rewarded a few years down the road, though weand#39;re uncertain if we will be able to fall into that group as we canand#39;t seem to hold off ourselves!
