Luis Seabraand#39;s project has all the hallmarks of what we consider to be some of the most exciting developments in modern wine andndash; a supremely talented and deeply devoted producer working with some excellent vine material in an historic wine producing area, with an eye towards new levels of quality and transparency. The real excitement here, besides the incredibly beautiful wines themselves, is the fact that Luis is aiming to show a new face to the home of the world's greatest fortified wine.andnbsp;Xisto Illimitado Branco is a village level offering, a blend of old-vines planted to four different white grape varieties including a majority of Rabigato at 500-600m in elevation.andnbsp; The wine is fermented largely in old barrels and shows imense depth for a village level bottling. The schist (xisto) soil in the vineyard shows through as a shock of mineral focus in the wine alongside ripe orchard fruit and delicate white floral tones.
Nice minerality in this Portuguese white blend. Enjoyed with seafood pancake appetizers for Thanksgiving. Sourced from @ConviveWines Thanksgiving 6-pack
