Luigi Baudana and his family are synonymous with the northern sector of Serralunga d'Alba to the extent that not only does a Cru bear the family name, so does the hillside it is found on as well as the hamlet on the top of the hill! After a successful career spanning 30 vintages, Luigi engaged the Vajra family to begin taking over his vines and continue his legacy.andnbsp; Vajra has already begun to invest in the property, converting the vineyards to organic agriculture, and fine tuning the wine making in Luigi's cellar. As the years have progressed, the team at Vajra has clearly gained more confidence with the terroir, embracing the inherent bold character found in Serralunga that is not present in their own estate vineyards. Because of their unique relationship and in acknowledgement of Luigi's trust in the Vajra family, the Baudana wines continue to be bottled proudly featuring both family's names.
