La Prevostura Muntacc Coste della Sesia Red Blend 2010

$28

70% Nebbiolo, 20% Vespolina and 10% Croatina from the Muntacc vineyard on a high-elevation hillside in Northern Piedmont. This wine shows great depth and structure that will allow it to age for 10+ years, but it's so pretty that you'd certainly be forgiven for popping the cork in the near term. Juicy, fresh red cherries and floral notes on the nose and pure silk on the palate. Irresistible wine for Pinot Noir & Nebbiolo lovers alike.

2 brothers make these wines in the basement of their restaurant at the top of their restored 100+yr old vineyard in Lessona. 70% Nebbiolo, Vespolina & Croatina. Nebbiolo with a roundness from the vespolina and a distinct white pepper spicy. 18 day maceration, great color, 21 months neutral oak, pure red fruit, roses. Way better 8 hours later
