Out of the gate, a high-acid skeleton with plenty of reduction. With time it filled out well. Food is still required. The fruit seems deeper and darker than it did with this vintage in 2015. Herbal nose. Black strawberry, gravel, clay, orange zest. Appealing. Perhaps less complex than the Skeveldra but more quenching.

High acid, tart cherry. Limpid. Clean. Awesome foil for earthy bœuf bourguignon. Do not forget the food with this one because the acidity is high enough to throw it out of balance.
