Joseph Dorbon Les Bernardine Arbois Red Blend 2016

$29.99

This is a blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and the native Poulsard (40%) from a single vineyard in Vadans, fermented andamp; aged in stainless for one year and a further year in barrel before bottling. This has a pleasant, distinctly Jurassic earthy/gamy side, where spice meets understated red fruits. Give this some air now and watch it unfold wonderfully, or lay it down for a few years for an even more special expression.

Pale ruby with garnet rim, mushroom soil, stewed fruit, and muted spice. Despite being a single-vineyard, the wine feels tired and limp. Not the best example from the region.
