This is a lovely, lifted example of Trousseau, another native red grape from the Jura, aged for 9 months in stainless steel. Trousseau generally shows the most high-toned of the 3 red grapes grown in the region, though it packs tons of flavor into its lightweight frame. The warmth of the 2015 vintage gave this version a bit more stuffing than usual, and the wine is utterly irresistible right now.
