Jean-Claude Lapalu is based in the southern Cru of Brouilly where his family has farmed for generations. Jean-Claude has been farming his land organically for decades, certified in 2010, and approaches his work in the cellar with a light touch preferring native yeasts and sparse additions of sulfur.andnbsp; The 2018 Beaujolais-Village is astonishingly delicious given its modest price tag.andnbsp; While it may not have the staying power of a Cru Beaujolais the lush texture and opulent fruit of the wine keep drawing us back to the bottle. Classic Beaujolais from a wonderful vintage.

For a villages, packs some serious wallop, like a bad ol Cru. So for about 17/18$ you get a Cru Bojo like, very forward leaning, sharply delineated, gorgeously strawberry & raspberry fruited Villages. Decent concentration. Some Brett in there too

Entry-level cuvée by one of the great artisans of natural wine in Beaujolais. Not as complex and long on the palate as his two admirables Brouilly, or Eau-Vive; but for its price ... It is a beautiful gourmet bottle with this explosive fresh floral bouquet on the nose (Lily, Rose, Iris, Peony). The mouth is sparkling, bringing a very greedy crunchy fruitiness. To drink in its youth.

Delicious natural wine with a reduced sulfur content: aromatic explosion of floral flavors: peony, rose, violet. Lots of fruit (red and black) and freshness in a round and fresh wine. A real treat

LOVE! Secret wine club at Tahoe house. Purchased at BiRite with Danny — light, soft and round. Great with mushrooms and getting wobbly
