Jacques Lemenicier has been running his namesake domaine in Cornas since the early 80's. At the time he was still working underandnbsp;Alain Voge, one of the most important names in the appellation. He left Voge in 1989 to pursue his own project full time and has now pieced together about 7ha of some impressive, largely higher elevation holdings spread across St. Peray and Cornas. Lemenicier's Cornas is not a Syrah of aggressive tannins or clunky, hulking structure. It shows impressive drive, complexity and intensity and it carries all of its muscle with an unmistakable grace
