Calaniuru is a blend of organically farmed Frappato and Nero d'Avola favoring a higher percentage of Frappato for a fresh, drinkable wine. This wine is juicy with serious herbal tones laid over red cherry fruit and earthy tannins. Delicious with a chill, this pairs effortlessly with everything from seafood pastas like pasta con le sarde, olives, fresh cheese, or lighter meat dishes.

Interesting nose. Candied plum, cherry, and raspberry. Maybe some sticks. Light and fruity on the palate. Medium acidity and a kiss of tannin. Light and crushable, but ultimately not that interesting, especially for the price. Will not be returning to this one.
