Hubert Soreau's family moved to Champagne from Belgium as a child, and grew up using Le Clos l'Abbandeacute; as a back yard. His parents purchased a small parcel in 1993 and in 2003, Hubert was able to add a bit more to his vineyard, which is only the size of a large garden in Epernay, right on the border of the Cote des Blancs. Due to his property's small size, Hubert carries out everything by hand, from harvesting to riddling. Soils are chalky with some clay, generating both warmth and richness along with trademark acidity. Obviously production is limited with only 0.35 hectares of land. The wines are made at his partner's facility in Cramant. This and#39;11 is aandnbsp;lovely example of the vintage -taut, balanced and irresistible.
