Hospices de Beaune Cuvée Charlotte Dumay Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2006

This is one of the most powerfully structured and longest lived cuvandeacute;es that the Hospices has to offer each year. A little more than half of the vines here are from Corton-Renardes, with the rest coming from plots scattered throughout the hillside. This is a deep, dense wine that needs just a few years to fully resolve its tannins and wake back up aromatically, but it will be a very fine bottle when it turns the corner.
