This 100% Syrah comes from old vines planted on sandy soil in the flats just east of the Cornas appellation. Peyrouses drinks like a baby Cornas and is in fact vinified in the same manner as Gilles Cornas; 30 days on skins in cement vats with 100% whole-cluster inclusion followed by 12 months in Demi-muids. Perfectandnbsp;with burgers, it isandnbsp;dark fruited, feral but not too structured with powerful minerality and an effortless quality to it.andnbsp;We like to drink Syrah with a chill on it, and suggest you serve this just above cellar temperature. Cellar temp is 55 degrees andndash; serve at 60 - 62 degree Fahrenheit.

Wow, a lot of bang for the buck here. Great wine. Blood, smoke, spice and cooling fruit. Thick slather of minerals, black and purple fruit. Firm tannins, this is delicious but will probably be better in a few years.
