Barolo DOCG 2005, 14%. Ruby red with a light golden tone. Nose quite close and austere, typical of this wines, it slowly opens to reveal mineral scents too. In the mouth the tannins are elegant, and there is a pleasant hint of herbs and mint.

A little tight when first poured but opened up over the course of the night. Earth leather and a hint of dark fruits. Great now but many, many years left.

A little bit less intensity than Brunate but still a great expression of tradition in Barolo
