The majority of Giulia's holdings are in the Serradenari Cru and are among the highest elevation vineyards in Barolo at 520 meters. Serradenari is contiguous with Bricco delle Viole on the far western edge of La Morra facing southwest. The grapes are hand harvested, fermented in 60 hectoliter wood vats for 40 days, and aged in botti for 30 months. This is especially floral on the nose and hits on the palate with pronounced spice, darker fruits andamp; savory tones. A strong, well-structured and classic example.andnbsp;

Thanksgiving wine #2. The nose was a bit shy, but came around eventually. Elegant, finessed and focused Barolo. Plenty of structure, but quite approachable and easygoing. This had a dark cherry & black yea note that I kept coming back to as I drank it. Great wine.
