Flavio Roddolo has become one of our most treasured sources of no-frills bottles from Piedmont. Roddoloandnbsp;works his six hectares of vines in the hills outside Monforte with an immense amount of skill and devotion. His wines are stirring, soulful and singular, the product of a master in harmony with his surroundings. This 2010 Baroloandnbsp;Ravera is a perfectly scaled specimen that is especially moving, even today. This wine comes from 30+ year old vines in Ravera di Monforte, which is quite close to the famous Ginestra and not far from Cerretta. Fermentation is done in stainless steel and the wine is aged for 24 months in old barrels of all sizes. 250 cases produced.
