Shimmering ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry and black raspberry, garrigue and floral pastille qualities, and a sneaky mineral flourish builds in the glass. Shows impressive depth as well as finesse, offering sweet red and blue fruit, lavender, anise and spicecake flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. In a powerful but alluringly graceful style, showing impressive detail and a repeating floral note on the impressively long finish, which features smooth tannins and a resonating mineral note. Ripe red plum, bramble, cranberry jam, smells like a Zinfandel - almost yogurty. Rosemary, pepper, iodine, crushed stone, Brett, VA, no oak. Medium plus acid, 14.5%, elevated tight tannins.
