Eric Morgat Fidès Savennières Chenin Blanc 2014

$51.99

We've been wowed by the from Eric Morgatandnbsp;over the years,andnbsp;but itand#39;s clear that he's really taken things to the next level since 2011, when he cut back his holdings and really dialed in his farming. Fides is an intense wine with so many layers and endless depth. Eric says that Chenin on schist is a red wine without color, and it would be hard to argue with him there. There's so much texture to the wine you can almost chew it.andnbsp;It will be no surprise to seeandnbsp;these wines become just as highly allocated and just as scarce as the very best Chenin in the Loire. andnbsp;

Waxy, a little nutty, oxidized orchard and pit fruit, lemon oil, saline stony finish. Very nice spot development-wise

Burnt orange, lemon oil, stone fruits, and dusty stones. Fresh and acidic. Morgat is a Chenin Blanc genius.
