One of my favorite wines for the price point. Soft, bright berry-driven fruit (blueberry, cranberry, tart cherry, pomegranate), dried savory herbs, leather, black licorice, violet, black pepper, earthy spice; game, smoke, and charcuterie. Gentle acidity and rocky minerality keep it lifted and lively.

I love this wine. So much ground pepper and chimney smoke on the nose. It’s like walking around on a rainy or snowy winter day and smelling the sweet perfume of your neighbors chimney. I almost totally dislike the white Listan Blanco Benje. I find that tired and lacking acidity and just tired. I prefer this wine to the more expensive Migan. Migan had more reduction and ethyl acetate on the nose and okay okay it’s more Pinot Noiresque but I don’t need a wine from the Canary Islands to be like a Pinot Noir. #listan #listannegro #canaryislands #spain

Unmistakably an island wine per @Jim Wagonfeld. Smoky berries, soft fruit, tobacco, slate/mineral, ash, light acid & tannin on the finish. @Alsu Shakirova says smashed berries on asphalt. Easy.

Funky nose, (Jura/Loire)... bright color... great flavor, cherry, berries also some pepper (could be mistaken for a cru Beaujolais)

100% Listán Prieto (also known as Mission in the US and País in Chile) from several small plots in Santiago del Teide, in the south of Tenerife. Aged in concrete tanks and neutral oak barrels for 8 months. Funky nose with flinty, smoky notes and sea spray. Fresh, mineral, saline. Not as impressive as the 2018 Benje Blanco I had a few months ago

A little bit tart, a little but savory, quite a bit mineral. Beautiful red fruited, light to medium bodied wine. Has a slight earthy funk, but in a very good way. This gets better as it opens up. The first glass was not very expressive, but it really came together throughout the evening.

Dehydrated piss on the nose, truly stomach turning. Rotten cabbage. Mouth is bright and fresh... I think I like it? But I’m confused.
