Black raspberry, cherry, and bright bramble fruits keynote the aromatics, with a bass note of leather and tea. It’s zesty and grippy on the palate, with red fruits and ample drying tannins. The most texture I’ve experienced in a Zinfandel for too long a time—it’s so refreshing to find one with evident tannins. An extremely pleasurable and incredibly food-friendly Zinfandel; I wish more were like this. 14.5% abv | $18 (sample)

Closed, uninspired at first but seemed to open a bit after 1/2 hour or so. Didn't enjoy as much as earlier vintages but maybe it just needs time.
