A dense Ruby in colour with a tawny rim starting to develop. A lot happening with the aromatics - black and red berries with minerals, earth, bacon, and dried meat. On the palate - rich and wonderfully balanced in this hot vintage. Medium + intensity, medium minus tannins. After some time notes of high quality kid leather and mild tarry notes. One of the reasons I chose to drink this wine was because of a conversation I had with the importer Ramon of Negociants at the recent Burgundy dinner. He was talking about Brett problems with some Rhone wines from hot vintages. When I said I had a La Mouline from 2003 he suggested I sell it. After 100 points from Parker and 18.5+ from Jancis I was never going to do that. I can report this had not a hint of Brett. This had the fluid tannin structure of a mature Hill of Grace. In summary I loved the restraint, balance and quality of this fine French Syrah given the vintage conditions. Shows great vineyard management and judicious picking decisions were made.

Very smooth and concentrated. Not as earth / gamey as I had anticipated.

Amazing wine Racy and finesse I love raspberry ganache and hardcore mineral notes Intense spine creates body and character that is purer than the Landonne or Turque but this is more elegant as the later two - stunning display of fruit and precision This wine has ten plus years while I think this will not last as long as Turque or Landonne

Deep flavors and aromas that last forever. There's a fruit and vanilla on the nose, which I attribute to the Viognier. Lots of fruit, balance, and intrigue. Opened to celebrate an epic win! Go Hawks!

Tremendously woody and ripe, saved by some savoriness on the palate.
