Antonio Capurso
Colour: almost totally transparent, light yellow, not too much colour. Nose: quite concentrated nose of rich flavours of smoked spices (but not overwhelming), vanilla, baked apples, quince, nutty spices – all good in balance and still elegant. Not a bold wine, it shows great finesse. Palate: Light to medium in body, citrus and smoky flavours in combination, not too acid but still good. Drinkable and subtle in flavours. Good minerality to balance the fruitiness and the citrus. Good balance overall of all features. (16th October 2016 – The Sampler – Islington – Enomatic)
