A blast. The honey coated ending is a marvel.

The 2016 'Les Romains' is simply gorgeous, as it begins with striking aromatics of wildflowers, honey, lychee and cantaloupe that immediately draw you in. The texture and minerality is simply stunning, as flavors of with tree fruit and citrus oil leave a mark. The oily, unctuous character this possesses is found in very few Sauvignon Blancs. An absolutely brilliant wine from one of the leading producers in the region. Drink 2019-2033- 95

Very pale with reticent nose of grapefruit. Palate is all wet stone and acid devoid of fruit. Austere to the point of unpleasant. 2nd bottle with same result. A disappointment. **

Very pale yellow. Nose of grapefruit. Palate devoid of fruit-mostly wet stones and slate.Lean, austere. Good acidity. Bracing and not all that pleasurable. For me, a disappointment.
