We first tasted andamp; offered the beautiful wines from Domaine Tessier in the 2011 vintage and have increasingly come to rely on this address as one of our most vital sources for serious white Burgundy. Arnaud Tessier has made immense strides at his family domaine since taking the reigns in 2005 to elevate the property into the gem that it has become today. The wines across the range here display a perfect balance of power and nerve, with the complexity and depth you'd expect from the very best producers. The wines are charming and give immense pleasure even in their youth, but they are neither bulky nor relaxed in character. This sort of poise is the epitome of great Meursault, and the and#39;16 vintage chez Tessierandnbsp;looks to have captured their very best qualities in vivid detail. Champ Perrier comes from a half hectare of 45 year old vines on the Puligny border. Drinks well above its modest classification and is always a nice introduction to the style of the domaine.andnbsp;

Another day, another bottle of wine tainted by poor storage in Kuching. Sigh. It wasn't exactly gone though, but I'm certain it should not have tasted like an oxidative-style Chenin. Good acid and structure, plus it worked well with our steak sandwich.

Tight when first opened but it opened with some time and air. Dry and minerally with some stone fruits. A nice touch of acidity in the finish. Excellent aperitif.
