Chandacirc;telet comes from a single 0.5-hectare parcel in in Brunieux with limestone and granite in the soil. This is a more intense example, dense, darker fruited and slightly brooding, this will improve markedly over the next decade or more in the cellar. 80% Destemmed, aged one year in a mix of barrels and casks, around 40% new oak.

So delicious. Fatty vintage tho. Mari said it’s a bit pruny and I had to agree. So many other great things in there. Amazing with lamb chops.

Amazing concentration of brambly fruit, but this has the acidity to keep it from feeling jammy or overextracted. Black and blue fruits on the nose and palate with a compelling violet/floral element on the finish. Personaly I could would have welcomed a bit more olive/smoked meat on the this wine but that might present itself with more bottle age. There was just the hint of olive tapenade lingering in the background. This wine is drinking beautifully right now but I think would reward you with more complexity after 5-10 years of bottle age.
